Longbow

Aug. 20, 2007

Dakota Arms developed the Longbow for military and law enforcement applications. Based on Dakota's renowned Model 76 hunting action, the Longbow offers range and power superior to .30 tactical rifles, without the weight and bulk of .50 weapons. The Longbow guarantees 1/2 MOA performance with an effective range of 1,500 meters in its .338 configuration. It generates up to 5,040 ft.-lbs. of muzzle energy from a 300-grain bullet traveling at 2,750 feet per second. An ergonomic, ambidextrous A-2 McMillan Fiberglass stock and stainless Douglas barrel combined with the high-strength steel alloy action make the Longbow an accurate, powerful and flexible tactical military rifle. The action uses controlled round feeding and a claw extraction system, and the Model 70-style trigger will not seize from dirt or freeze in rain. Available in .338 Lapua magnum, .330 Dakota magnum, .300 Dakota magnum and 7.62 NATO, the Longbow uses commercially available match-grade ammunition and components, and comes with a deployment kit.
